Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 29, 2026

This policy explains what BibleAnswers collects when you use the site, why, and what choices you have. BibleAnswers is operated by an individual based in the United States. Contact: cristimaxinmihai@yahoo.com.

The short version. There are no user accounts. We don't ask for your name, and we don't sell your data. Your questions are sent to an AI provider so it can answer them. If you subscribe, Stripe handles your payment and we never see your card number.

1. What we collect

Questions you submit

The text of each question you ask is transmitted to our server and forwarded to our AI provider to generate an answer. Please avoid including sensitive personal details — health information, financial account numbers, government identifiers — in your questions.

Information stored in your own browser

We store a small amount of data locally in your browser (using local storage, not tracking cookies) to run the free trial and daily question limits and to remember that you have an active subscription. This data stays on your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Payment information

If you subscribe, Stripe collects and processes your payment details directly. We receive only limited information from Stripe, such as your subscription status, billing email, and the last four digits and brand of your card. We never receive or store your full card number.

Technical information

Our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps. This is used to keep the site running securely and to diagnose errors.

2. What we do not collect

3. How we use information

4. Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers needed to operate BibleAnswers:

ProviderWhat it handlesTheir policy
Anthropic Processes your questions to generate AI answers Privacy policy
Stripe Payment processing and subscription billing Privacy policy
Vercel Website hosting and server logs Privacy policy

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property. If the Service is ever transferred to a new owner, information may transfer with it, subject to this policy.

5. How long we keep it

Server logs are retained for a limited period by our hosting provider and then deleted or rotated. Questions sent to our AI provider are retained according to that provider's own retention practices. Billing records are kept by Stripe as long as required by tax and accounting law. Data stored in your browser stays until you clear it.

6. Local storage and cookies

BibleAnswers uses browser local storage for the functional purposes described above. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or third-party profiling. Stripe may set its own cookies during checkout for fraud prevention and payment security.

7. Children's privacy

BibleAnswers is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information, email us and we will delete it.

8. Your rights

If you are in California

Under the CCPA and CPRA, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Our legal bases for processing are performance of a contract (providing the Service you requested) and legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, and improving the Service).

Everyone

To exercise any of these rights, email cristimaxinmihai@yahoo.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

9. International transfers

We operate from the United States, and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. If you use the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

10. Security

We use HTTPS encryption in transit and rely on established providers for hosting and payments. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
